
Equity Market Commentary for the week
- Indian markets settled marginally lower at the end of the week. The Nifty ended with a weekly loss of 0.3%.
- India’s WPI shrank 0.58% for July whereas food inflation stood at 4.08% higher than June which came at 2.04%.

Nifty50 ended with a weekly loss of 0.3% whereas Midcap gained 1.7% and Smallcap gained 2%
- Sectoral front: Pharma and Metal continued to move upward, gaining 2.7% and 4% respectively. FMCG (-0.8%) and Bank (-0.3%) closed marginally lower.
Debt and Commodity Market Commentary for the week
- Yield on the 10-year benchmark paper (5.79% GS 2030) closed at 5.96%, 10 bps over last week.
- Gold and Silver prices nosedived this week losing 5.6% and 8.4% respectively.
